SPEECH PATHOLOGY

SPOTS WA Speech Pathology services specialise in assessing and providing individualised therapy for children with speech, language, social and literacy difficulties. Speech Pathology can support your child’s ability to understand and use language, develop literacy skills to be able to read and spell with more confidence, and to better understand social rules to be able to develop friendships, maintain conversations and navigate in the social world.

At SPOTS WA, our ultimate goal is to improve and support your child’s ability to communicate effectively and functionally in their daily life.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

SPOTS  WA Occupational Therapy uses a holistic view of a child’s occupational performance through everyday activities and individual roles. Occupational Therapy services can assist with developing key developmental areas and skills including fine and gross motor skills, motor planning, developing emotional regulation, social skills, play skills, self-care skills, sensory processing, attention and concentration, executive functioning and visual perception skills.

AUTISM
SUPPORT

Leticia and Rachel have extensive experience with a combined total of 10 years working within specialised Autism services.

SPOTS WA are proud to provide Autism specific therapy services, which include collaborating with the child’s family and other key stakeholders such as their school and other professionals (e.g. psychologist). SPOTS WA believe that completing classroom and school observations is vital to better understanding a child’s needs within these environments. Providing support, coaching and education to families and staff can further promote understanding of specific ASD characteristics and allow strategies to be implemented, to support the development of functioning within differing environments. Common support for needs includes but is not limited to, behaviour concerns, emotional regulation, social communication, social skills support and functional independence support.

SPOTS WA believe that it is essential that all key stakeholders in a child’s life are on the same page to ensure maximised therapy outcomes. Therefore, if applicable, we collaborate with all supporting networks including caregivers, education staff, external clinical professionals and support workers.
